About the event
The CCP course will deal with the fundamentals of pistol use within a close combat scenario. The course will start off building the foundations in a live fire environment. The course will cover the following:
- Marksmanship (grip, trigger control, follow thru, reset, sight alignment, sight picture)
- Reloads (in various conditions and positions)
- Malfunction Clearance (hasty and deliberate)
- Kinesthetic alignment and awareness
- In extremis weapons access
- Utilization of support hand and structure in the fight
The following gear will be required:
- Concealable pistol and holster
- 3 Magazines for pistol
- 350 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Snap caps or dummy rounds
- Close toe shoes with good traction
